Caught in the dark

A little over a week ago I went out to Yellow Fork after work on the new 2009 Cannondale Scalpel. I started at about 7:40 not expecting to be out for very long. That bike is so great for climbing so, I just kept going, further than I have gone before on that part of the trail. The funny thing about our west side mountains is that they can be light on top, but it gets dark in the forest below the ridge (yep, it is obvious). I was at the highest point on the trail when I realized I should start back down. It was not fun coming down in the darkness. I came across cows and people on horses. The Scalpel is capable of just about anything, but I would have done anything to have a headlight, so I bought one.

I got the new Niterider Minewt USB Plus. Look how little it is! It is the brightest light per dollar on the market. The “Plus” model includes a helmet mount as well as the standard handlebar mount. It weighs only 175 grams and the coolest thing of all, it can charge from the USB port on your computer! We have these in stock now, so quit riding in the dark!
