Bike of the Week 18: 2011 Cannondale CAAD10 Women’s 5 105

Lots of women are getting into road riding each year for a number of reasons. Some of those include fitness, desire to do a triathlon, or as a new alternative to running which is hard on the body. Cycling is a low impact sport and also good therapy/recovery for injuries. With a large percentage of cyclists spending between $2000 and $3000, that is simply too much to spend for many people. Enter the new CAAD10…

Rave reviews of the all-new carbon killer are popping up all the time, the CAAD10 has quickly established the reputation of better far better than entry-level carbon road bikes. By modeling some of the new features after the world famous Super Six and the well loved Synapse, this frame takes comfort and performance to the next level. By no means is this a fluffy bike, but it is perfectly capable of riding the upcoming century or the short all-out hill climb without making sacrifices.

In pointing out that Cannondale has put BB30 cranks on every 105-level and higher road bike this year, it shows Cannondale’s pursuit of performance and value at every price point.

We have sold a number of these bikes already this year, and it is still February! You have to ride it to believe it. Before you spend too much on a competitor’s base model, no frills carbon bike, heavily consider the CAAD10.

Color is important, and the colors are fantastic on both. The white and black with lime green is tough and loud, the black with blue is a little more subdued.

  1. We are giving away a Synapse women’s road bike, another great option in the Cannondale 2011 lineup. We are excited about that!
