Join us for the 2013 Pedal Palooza in at Butterfield Park in Herriman. With lots of different events for the whole family, you won’t want to miss this one.

Pedal Palooza Events

Family Bike Parade

Pedal Palooza will kick off at 10 a.m. with a family bike parade at Butterfield Park. Use your imagination to decorate your ride. Judges will be on hand to select prize winners, so show us your style!

Helmet Safety Check Station

Trained professionals will check the safety and fit of your helmet, so make sure to bring it. Healthy Herriman has purchased replacement helmets for those in need (free of charge and while supplies last). We will begin checking helmets at 9 a.m. before the parade begins and continue throughout the event, with a brief break for the bike parade.

Kids Bike Races

Have you ever wanted to ride in a real bike race? Here’s your chance! Kids ages 3-12 can ride in the age-division lap races. Medals will be awarded, but let’s be honest: bragging rights are reward enough!

Children’s Bike Rodeo

Unified Police Officers will escort young cyclists through an obstacle course. They will point out hazards, safety tips, and how to apply the rules of the road, helping youth make connections between the ‘rules’ and real-world application.

Helmet Decorating

Show the world your style! Herriman’s Youth Council will be on hand with tons of stickers to decorate and personalize your helmet. Your skid-lid will be the envy of the neighborhood!

Bikes and Scooters Raffle

Need a new ride? We’ve got several boy and girl bikes and scooters to raffle off! Kids will earn one raffle ticket for each of these events they complete: parade, race, rodeo, helmet safety check, helmet decorating, and mountain bike ride.

Mountain Bike Adventure

NEW this year is our Two Hours at Yellow Fork mountain bike event. This family-friendly event will also challenge seasoned riders. Cyclists ride to designated locations, mark their card, and bring it back to the tally tent in the Yellow Fork parking lot. There you can be done, or you can obtain a new card and hit the trails again. Locations vary in distance and difficulty, from easily accessible rides for kids to challenging terrain for advanced cyclists. The course will be marked and support will be available.

Gather as many points as you can during the two-hour window for a chance at some great prizes. Riders may participate any time from 8-10:00 a.m. Participants will earn a raffle ticket, so make sure you stop at Butterfield Park to enter the bike/scooter prize drawing. MEET AT YELLOW FORK CANYON PARKING LOT.
