2011 Cannondale Claymore
Using a totally new platform for 2011, Cannondale’s Claymore is defining a new category of mountain bikes: Overmountain. You’ve heard of all-mountain, but the new category Overmountain is changing the game. Using the exclusive new DYAD RT2 dual rear shock and a Fox Talas fork, you are able pedal an efficient 110mm travel bike to the top of any mountain, flip a few switches and come down fast on a fully capable 180mm travel bike.
A collaboration between Cannondale and Fox created a rear shock that is truly 2-in-1, not just a lockout. Not only does the DYAD shock limit the travel on the Elevate mode, it also changes the geometry so it is more suited for climbing. The Flow mode slackens the geometry and increases travel for downhill speed and control. The wide spacing of double-stacked pivots gives stiffness and control not found on other bikes. DYAD is found on Claymore, Jekyll Carbon, and Jekyll Alloy.
You’ve got to see this bike to believe it.
