The Herriman City skatepark was supposed to have a ribbon-cutting grand opening ceremony on December 1st at 10:00 am, but was snowed out. The park is tentatively open now, weather permitting.
Park Specs
The renowned Wally Hollyday Skatepark Design designed the 25,000 squre foot park. Its design is unique to Herriman, Utah meaning there is not another park like it! This is one of the bigger skateparks they have built across the nation. Read more about the company. The park is located in Herriman, Utah at 6000 W and 13400 S on the south-east corner of that intersection.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Accepting and adhering to the rules are a condition of entry to the park. The rules exist to make the park as safe as possible for everyone.
This is YOUR skate park- please take care of it. Use the trash receptacles provided. Damage to the park will result in closure!
- Skateboarding, in-line skating and BMX freestyle biking are “High Risk Activities”. Shirt, Shoes, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards must be worn at all times. (Know your ability and skate or ride accordingly.)
- The skate park is a skate or ride at your own risk non-supervised facility designed for skateboarding (34” maximum length), in-line skating (4-wheel maximum per skate), and BMX freestyle biking (smooth pegs) only. Check your equipment to be sure it is safe.
- The skate park hours will be posted at the entry. The Herriman City “No Trespassing” ordinance will be enforced when the park is closed.
- Motorized vehicles, motorized scooters, or other wheeled devices are not allowed within the skate park.
- Keep the park and surrounding areas clean and free of litter and graffiti. Graffiti in the skate park is illegal and will not be tolerated. Any graffiti and abuse will cause the park to be closed. Inspect the surfaces before you ride them. Remove all trash, debris, and objects that may prevent a smooth safe ride. Report any damage of skate park surfaces to the Herriman City Parks and Recreation Department at (801) 254-7667.
- No skating or riding when wet, raining, snowing, or during skate park maintenance periods.
- No animals allowed in the skate park at any time.
- Non-skaters and spectators are to stay off skating areas.
- This park has been designed for beginner to expert skill levels. Be courteous to others using the facility and other park patrons. You must skate safely and remain in control at all times. All participants are responsible for avoiding collision with others. Parental supervision is strongly recommended.
- Fighting, profanity, reckless and boisterous behavior is strictly prohibited. Staff members have the discretion to identify unwarranted conduct as necessary to ensure that participants, attendees, and staff have an enjoyable park experience.
- Other than special events sanctioned by Herriman City, no competitive or demonstration events or amplified music are allowed.
- Smoking, illegal drug use and consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
- No food, drink, chewing gum, glass containers, or radios may be brought into the skating area.
- Gear and clothing not in use must be stored outside of the skate area. Non-skate related gear is not allowed in the skating area.
- No portable rails, ramps or platforms or anything that can be used to erect them are permitted.
- All other park rules and regulations must be followed.
- No person in the park shall erect a sign or attach a sign to property owned or controlled by the City.
- Violations of any of these rules or regulations may result in closing of the Skate park facility, prosecution and /or violators may be ejected and banned from the facility.

Skating/skateboarding/rollerblading is an inherently dangerous sport. The dangers of skating/skateboarding/rollerblading include, but are not limited to: injury or death resulting from changing track conditions arising from changing weather conditions; variations in or steepness of skating area, rain, snow or ice conditions; surface conditions such as the introduction of debris onto the course; collision with other park patrons, and the patrons failure to skate, ride or behave in a safe and reasonable manner. Utilizing this area or facility constitutes your acceptance of the above cited rules, the above cited risks and your willingness to assume personal responsibility for any and all injuries arising from the use of this facility. If you are unwilling to obey these rules or assume these risks, for yourself, or for those under your supervision, you should not use this facility.
